On Friday 29th June, 8 members of the FI team laced up their hiking boots and set their sights on climbing Ben Nevis, Scarfell Pike and Snowdon, also known as the National 3 Peaks Challenge.
Through the scorching heat, the team stuck together and successfully completed their final mountain descent on Saturday afternoon. The total walking distance for the challenge is 23 miles and an ascent of 3,064 metres.
The team were raising money for the NET Patient Foundation in memory of their colleague Alison Austin who sadly passed away last year. This charity was selected by Alison’s husband and we’re proud to announce they exceeded their £3,000 goal.
We’re all immensely proud of the team for taking on such a difficult challenge under such extra ordinary climate conditions.
FI Team: Julia Gidley, Emily Armstrong, Toni Houghton, Lauren Rimmer, Hollie Duggen, Natalie Page, Rob Melling and Neil Forkin.
