FIREM Welcomes New Tenant to Wrexham Industrial Estate

Property and asset management company FI Real Estate Management (FIREM) has welcomed a rapidly expanding new tenant to Wrexham Industrial Estate. Already one of the most prolific names on the 550-hectare site, FIREM has now agreed a five-year let of a 10,032 sq ft unit to Gorton Brothers Ltd.


Established in 2019, the storage and haulage specialist was in need of larger premises after recently securing a contract with the NHS. Following the move, the Gorton Brothers’ traditional pallet distribution business will also be based from the new unit, providing the hauliers with closer access to their customers and delivery points. 


“This is one of our most in-demand estates and great connectivity isn’t the only reason why,” commented Beci Morgan, Business Development Manager at FIREM.


“Wrexham Industrial Estate caters to businesses of all sizes, thanks to the breadth and quality of our offering here. To ensure we can continue to meet the growing demand, plans are currently underway to introduce a brand-new scheme of developments to the site.”

Gorton Brothers operates in all aspects of haulage and is a shareholder member of the Pallex network, which has 72-hour service, 24-hour service, retail plus, and track and trace. With existing customers already on the popular industrial estate, the Gorton Brothers’ director Lee Gorton feels the location on Clywedog Road is the perfect fit.


“We are extremely pleased to have been able to secure a unit on Wrexham Industrial Estate, which will help us to improve our current service to our existing and future clients,” commented Mr Gorton.

The Wrexham estate is home to over 340 businesses across automotive, aerospace, food, pharmaceuticals and engineering. These businesses collectively employ over 10,000 people.

Wrexham Industrial Estate forms part of FIREM’s extensive UK industrial portfolio, which currently totals almost five million sq ft with a further circa two million sq ft of new build in the pipeline. Available spaces start from 500 sq ft. to more imposing units of 80,000 sq ft.
