Property and asset management company FI Real Estate Management (FIREM) has expanded its extensive industrial portfolio with the acquisition of a multi-let, two-acre site on Wrexham Industrial Estate.
Already one of the largest names on the popular estate, FIREM’s latest addition will see a further 13 units introduced to the portfolio, totalling 21,000 sq ft of industrial property which is currently fully let and home to seven tenants.
Alongside the acquisition, FIREM is also working on plans to introduce an additional, brand-new scheme of developments to the site, which is expected to deliver a significant economic boost to the area. A planning decision is expected by early summer.
All of FIREM’s modern industrial spaces on the estate feature an open warehouse, a ground floor office, and roller shutter doors, as well as loading and staff parking spaces.
A statement from BA Commercial read: “We are very pleased to see this deal complete and it acts as a very good start to what should be another positive year for BA Commercial.
“Demand for industrial investment is currently robust, especially in the Wrexham area, and FI Real Estate Management acquired a good addition to their portfolio on the Wrexham Industrial Estate through BA Commercial."
The Wrexham estate extends over 550 hectares and is home to over 340 businesses across automotive, aerospace, food, pharmaceuticals and engineering. These businesses collectively employ over 10,000 people.
Wrexham Industrial Estate sits within FIREM’s extensive UK industrial portfolio, which currently totals almost five million sq ft with a further circa two million sq ft of new build in the pipeline. Available spaces start from 500 sq ft. to more imposing units of 80,000 sq ft.
