FIREM has completed a significant refurbishment on its last three remaining units at Manor Park Industrial Estate in Runcorn, after identifying market demand for high-quality industrial accommodation in the area.

The company’s reputation for a flexible and personal approach led to a 10-year pre-let being agreed on the 15,068 sq ft Unit 2 before the refurbishment programme had begun. The incoming tenant, Brunel Engineering wanted to join its parent company Sandon Global, who occupy 34,000 sq. ft. of space on the estate, relocating from its current site in Morecambe, also owned and managed by FIREM.

Long-standing tenant, Brunel Engineering worked very closely with FIREM during the design process in order to create a bespoke space specific to its business needs. This included a new canteen area, upgrading the electrical board and further redecoration. These works were in addition to:

  • new felt roof system with insulation
  • new roller and fire doors
  • redecoration of cladding, trims, and fascias
  • new facilities and offices
  • redecoration of internal walls, doors, skirts, and warehouse floor
  • new M&E; brand new electrics including led lighting and heating

The successful completion of the £750,000 refurbishment programme has provided over 45,000 sq ft of premium industrial space for tenants to thrive and grow their services. The remaining unit available offers 10,000 sq ft of space and presents a great opportunity for any expanding businesses interested in relocating to one of the North West’s premier business parks.
